  1. NAME
    1. The league is known as The Andalucían Champions League (ACL)
  1. PARTICIPATING CLUBS
    1. The members and Committee are Aloha, Atalaya, El Paraiso, Guadalmina, La Quinta, Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, San Roque, Santa Maria and Villa Padierna
    2. Any additions are to be approved unanimously by the Committee
  1. ADMINISTRATOR
    1. Each year, the Committee will determine an Administrator
  1. COMMITTEE
    1. The ACL Committee is formed by the ACL Captains of the participating clubs
    2. The Chair is the ACL Administrator for the current season
  1. FORMAT OF PLAY
    1. Each club will play a home and away match against all the others.
    2. Matches will be played under the auspices of Real Federación Española de Golf (RFEG). The format will be four-ball better ball match play, with teams of six pairs from each club.
    3. Strokes given/received will be as follows. The method of calculation will be in accordance with the guidelines issued by the RFEG, i.e. Calculate 95% of the slope handicap for each player and then take 100% (rounded to the nearest full number) of the differences in slope handicaps to determine strokes to be given/received. The lowest handicapped player(s) give strokes to the other players in accordance with the above calculation.
    4. The order of play will be based on the selection of pairings by each of the competing Captains in each match. The home Captain only, for each match, may alter the order or change four ball opponents at their discretion.
    5. Matches are played from tees delineating a course length of between 5,600 mtrs. to 6,000 mtrs. All matches should be played on the same course throughout the season, should a club have more than one course.
    6. Both buggies and measuring devices, to measure distances alone, are permitted.
    7. The use of mobile phones is forbidden during the course of any match (other than in the case of an emergency).
  1. ORGANISATION
    1. The respective ACL Captains are responsible for arranging dates for their matches between each club. Matches to be played during the calendar year, starting in January and concluding in November (to allow time to organize the end of season event in December).
    2. The selection of teams will be the responsibility of the respective ACL Captains.
    3. Team captains will exchange their players’ RFEG licence numbers prior to the match.
    4. Any player belonging to more than one club in the ACL must declare which team he will play for prior to the first game of the season and be permitted only to represent that club during the season.
    5. All players must be a member in good standing, of the ACL club they are representing.
    6. No child or junior may play; the minimum age permitted being 21.
  1. HANDICAPS
    1. All players must have an active RFEG handicap. The maximum handicap permitted is 18.0 plus slope. Players with higher handicaps are eligible to play, but will play off the League´s maximum.
  1. SCORING
    1. Match scores will be as follows:
      • One point for the first nine holes played
      • One point for the second nine holes played
      • One point for the match
      • Half a point for a draw on first nine, second nine and / or match
    2. The calculation of points will be based on the course front nine, back nine and match, notwithstanding the starting tee for individual matches. The result of each match will be based on the sum of the points earned by the six pairs forming the team.
    3. If any club cancels a match within seven days of the arranged date and no alternative date can be agreed, the points for the match will be awarded to the club that is available to play.
    4. A match can only be cancelled on the day if the course is closed or due to adverse weather by agreement between the two ACL Captains. Changes of dates must be notified to the Administrator.
    5. When a match has been completed, the team Captains are responsible for notifying the result to the Administrator within 24 hours using the Captains´ WhatsApp Group.
    6. The Administrator will maintain all fixtures and results through the ACL website.
  1. HOSPITALITY
    1. All clubs will give the courtesy of the course to the visiting team, including free buggies. After each match, a seated lunch will be served by the home club, according to that club’s best catering options.
  1. WINNER
    1. The winner of the ACL will be the team, which wins the most points from matches played during the year.
    2. In the case of a draw, the winner will be the team that won the most points in away matches.
  1. ANNUAL PRIZE-GIVING
    1. The ACL Trophy will be presented to the winning club in December during an evening function hosted by La Sala
    2. The Administrator is responsible for the engraving of the ACL trophy and the associated cost.
  1. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
    1. An AGM will be held each year between the ACL captains of the participating clubs. The Administrator will be responsible for coordinating the meeting, which must be convened at least one month prior to the beginning of the next ACL season.
  1. SPONSORSHIP
    1. The ACL is open to sponsorship and all clubs are welcome to present sponsorship opportunities to the Committee.
